Prospect Pediatrics thanks you for choosing our practice. We are privileged to be trusted with the future healthcare of your children and have been doing so in this area for over 25 years. Our entire staff looks forward to making your visit a positive one for you and your children.
All of the physicians at Prospect Pediatrics are board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
We at Prospect Pediatrics are committed to you and your child's healthcare needs from the time of their birth to their graduation from college. It is our feeling that we should not encourage patients to leave at 18 years of age. It is frequently more convenient and efficacious for a young adult to continue in a practice that is familiar with his/her medical history and with which rapport has developed over the years.
Prospect Pediatrics is very aware that even in the finest practices there can be circumstances that challenge us all. Our entire staff strives to make your experience with Prospect Pediatrics as pleasant as possible. For this reason, we are receptive to any suggestions on how we may better serve you or your child.

Your First Visit
For your first visit please bring the following:
Phone Calls and Emergencies
As our practice has grown, so have the number of phone calls each day. During the office hours, emergency calls regarding illness or injury are handled as they come in to the office by our medical assistants or physicians. Routine calls regarding other situations will be returned as soon as possible during office hours, or by the physician at the end of the workday after all of the sick children have been seen.
Remember, our office is open M-F @ 7:30am for walkin appointments for the first hour and we are open until 6:00pm Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with these extended hours we are doing all we can to prevent you from having to visit the emergency room or "doc-in-a-box" with your child.
We are available by phone 24 hours a day 7 days a week for your child's healthcare needs. If you have an urgent medical problem after hours, which cannot wait until the next morning, call the office number and your call will be forwarded to our answering service. Your call will be returned as soon as possible, generally in 15-30 minutes at most, by experienced nurses who can answer your questions regarding most any medical condition. If it has been more than 30min. since your first call, please call back and ask to speak to the physician on call. If the problem is of a serious nature, you will either be instructed to take the child to the emergency room to be examined or you will be contacted immediately by the physician on call.
As a courtesy to you, we file your insurance claims for office visits. We do request any co-payments, deductibles or services not covered be paid at the time of service.
It may become necessary to seek the advice and expertise of a specialist. We will assist you in the referral process as your primary care physician. Once you have obtained your appointment, please call our office at least 48 hours prior to the visit. In the event you need to go to an emergency room or immediate care center you must contact our office within 24 hours so that we can process a referral for your visit.
Medication taken on a routine basis can frequently be refilled by our patient portal or telephone. However, your insurance company often requires that you be seen by the ordering physician in the past 3-6 months for most chronic illnesses. When your medication is running low, please call your pharmacy. The pharmacist will then call our office to authorize the prescription. Please allow 24 hours for the entire process to be completed. If it appears the medication will run out over a weekend, please call your pharmacy no later than Friday at noon so we can be sure to take care of this before the office closes. For our patients on medication for ADD/ADHD, we ask that you call the office at least 48 hours before needing the prescription.
We are pleased to administer your allergy injections per your allergist's orders. Our allergy shot hours are 9:00 A.M. - 11:30 A.M. and 2:00 P.M. - 4:15 P.M. Saturdays allergy shot hours are 9:00 A.M. - 10:30 A.M. These times are subject to change.
