Prospect Pediatrics thanks you for choosing our practice.
We are privileged to be trusted with the future healthcare of your children and
have been doing so in this area for over 25 years. Our entire staff looks forward
to making your visit a positive one for you and your children.
All of the physicians at Prospect Pediatrics are board certified
by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
We at Prospect Pediatrics are committed to you and your child's
healthcare needs from the time of their birth to their graduation from college. It
is our feeling that we should not encourage patients to leave at 18 years of age. It
is frequently more convenient and efficacious for a young adult to continue in a practice
that is familiar with his/her medical history and with which rapport has developed over
the years.
Prospect Pediatrics is very aware that even in the finest
practices there can be circumstances that challenge us all. Our entire staff strives
to make your experience with Prospect Pediatrics as pleasant as possible. For this
reason, we are receptive to any suggestions on how we may better serve you or your child.

As our practice
has grown, so have the number of phone calls each day. During the office hours,
emergency calls regarding illness or injury are handled as they come in to the office by
our medical assistants or physicians. Routine calls regarding other situations will be returned
as soon as possible during office hours, or by the physician at the end of the workday
after all of the sick children have been seen.
We are available by phone 24 hours a day 7 days a week for your
child's healthcare needs. If you have an urgent medical problem after hours, which
cannot wait until the next morning, call the office number and your call will be forwarded
to our answering service. Your call will be returned as soon as possible, generally
in 15-30 minutes at most, by experienced nurses who can answer your questions regarding
most any medical condition. If the problem is of a serious nature, you will either
be instructed to take the child to the emergency room to be examined or you will be
contacted immediately by the physician on call.

ask that you pay such amounts promptly. We are pleased to cooperate with you in
establishing a payment program. Please contact our financial office so that

Medication taken
on a routine basis can frequently be refilled by telephone. However, your insurance
company often requires that you be seen by the ordering physician in the past 6 months for
most chronic illnesses. When your medication is running low, please call your
pharmacy. The pharmacist will then call our office to authorize the
prescription. Please allow 24 hours for the entire process to be completed. If
it appears the medication will run out over a weekend, please call your pharmacy no later
than Friday at noon so we can be sure to take care of this before the office closes.
For our patients on medication for ADD/ADHD, we ask that you call the office at least 72
hours before needing to pick up the prescription. These drugs are controlled
substances that we cannot, by law, call into your pharmacy and need to be picked up at the
office. In addition, these medications need to be filled within five days of the
date on the prescription.
